The Pelican at Arch Cape is a large, beachfront home located just 8 miles south of Cannon Beach, Oregon with private access to pristine Arch Cape Beach where small rivers lead to the sea and waves break on monolithic rock formations on either end. 

An open concept living area with a wall of windows opens the home to unobstructed, panaramic views of Castle Rock, the beach and amazing sunsets.  Take it all in from an expansive deck featuring a hot tub.  A warm and well-appointed home, you're free to enjoy your large or intimate gatherings at the beach, while being within easy distance to nearby quaint towns, attractions, hikes and even more beaches to explore.

Dogs are welcome and the home is wheelchair accessible.

PELICAN FEATURES

    5 Bedrooms, including 3 kings, 2 queens, 2 twins and a crib, along with a queen hide-a-bed and queen inflatable mattress, can accommodate up to 14 guests (the max per county regulations) - wake up to ocean views from 3 of the bedrooms
  2. Pet Friendly
    We welcome up to 4 dogs, with a per night pet fee - dog bowls and towel to wipe off after beach time are provided
  3. Wheelchair Accessible
    Main/upper floor can be accessed via the oceanside deck ramps, and includes the open living space (the view!), an accessible shower with handheld showerhead and spacious bathroom with hand grabs for the toilet
  4. Fully Stocked
    Everything you need to enjoy your beachfront getaway, including books, games, puzzles, toys for the sand, toddler toys, fully-stocked kitchen (minus the food but we have single-cup coffee plus regular coffee maker and wine glasses!), BBQ, linens, hairdryers in the bathrooms and onsite laundry
  5. Techie Stuff
    Free 5g Wi-Fi is available, cable service with premium movie channels, as well as a desk with wireless printer and a SmartTV in the main living area with access to apps like Netflix (accounts not provided), plus DVD player with the downstairs TV in the game room

Arch Cape Beach


Your dreamy beach view from the house!  Home to Castle Rock, one of the numerous examples of basalt rock around the area that are from lava flows millions of years old. At low tide, explore the tidal pools at the south end, cross the creek to find the “Arch”, or head north to Hug Point (and beyond!).

Arcadia Beach

A short distance north of Arch Cape and Hug Point. A sandy beach with a parking lot.  Popular on weekends.  There are tidepools to explore at the headlands on the north and south ends.  At low tide, the north headland leads to Humbug Point, with Lion Rock just off the point.

Cannon Beach & Haystack Rock


The famous Cannon Beach, home to Haystack Rock. The south end of the beach is only 4 miles from The Pelican. Haystack Rock rises 235 feet out of the sea.  It's home to tufted puffins, gulls and cormorants.  Volunteer interpreters are on at the tide pools during summer low tides.

Manzanita Beach

Drive down through Manzanita (8 miles south on Hwy 101) to the beach of Manzanita. Stretching from the base of Neahkahnie Mountain to the Nehalem bay jetty, with beautiful sand dunes.  Explore the tide pools that emerge during low tide at the base of Neahkahnie Mountain.

Short Sand Beach

Walk through a mature NW forest in the Oswald West State Park (South on Hwy 101, 3 miles) and enjoy the waves on this secluded beach, or just enjoy watching the surfers.

Manzanita & Nehalem

These charming towns have shops, galleries, restaurants, candy & ice cream and more.  As close as Cannon Beach (~6-8 miles S on Hwy 101) without the crowds.

Cannon Beach & Seaside

Explore the shops, restaurants, bakeries, theaters, kid recreation and galleries of these beautiful towns.  Seaside has a cute aquarium!

Tillamook Cheese Factory

Self-guided factory tour and history, cheese samples and ice cream!  Info: www.tillamook.com.  36 mi S on Hwy 101 (50 mins)

Ecola State Park

Explore the park and its miles of trails, starting at Indian Beach.  Walk in the history of Captain Clark's footsteps.  Two miles north of Cannon Beach.
